USWP Helps Habitat for Humanity Build Affordable Housing for All

On Saturday, June 17th, a group of eight volunteers from Ulbrich Specialty Wire Products (USWP) helped in a home-building project with Habitat for Humanity in Seneca, SC. Working alongside other Habitat volunteers, the team installed the underlayment on top of the subfloor of an 1100-square-foot home. There was plenty of work to be done, from sweeping to carrying wooden panels, using glue guns and nail guns to install the underlayment, and cleaning materials at the end of the day. They were able to complete this project in approximately four hours.

"We plan to continue volunteering with Habitat as they need us on a rotational basis to give other USWP employees opportunities to be involved," says Dartanya Vaughn, HR Manager.

It is very rewarding to know that you are working to give back to your community in a way that positively impacts the lives of others.

Ulbrich appreciates the opportunity to be a part of helping to build affordable housing and to help make someone’s dream of a home a reality.
