High Temperature Bar Products were added to Ulbrich of California’s inventory program late last year to complement their extensive line of stainless and special metals strip, foil and wire products. Ulbrich’s long history of providing high quality stainless steels and special metals to aerospace component manufacturer’s and a strong customer need for ‘one stop shopping’, made it a natural decision to add the inventory. The bar products are in stocked in Fresno for immediate shipment the same or next day.

The high temperature bar products currently in inventory consist of A286, Alloy X, Nickel 718 and Nickel 625. Each alloy is ordered to AMS, ASTM, LCS, GE and Pratt & Whitney specifications. Ulbrich of California is ISO Certified to ISO 9001:2008 and also to AS 9100B.

A286 is an age hardenable iron based super alloy designed for use up to 1300 degrees. A286 has high tensile strength, good creep strength and corrosion resistance. It is stocked in AMS 5731, AMS 5732 (capable of) and LCS certified. Sizes available in stock are from.500" up to 2.00". Primary end uses are Jet Engine Parts, Turbine Wheels & Blades, Frames, Casings, Afterburner Parts and Fasteners.

Alloy X is a nickel based alloy with excellent oxidation resistance, high temperature strength and can be easily fabricated or welded. It is stocked in AMS 5754, ASTM B572, ASTM SB572, GE S1000, GE S400. GE B50A463 and is LCS certified. Sizes available in stock are from .875" up to 1.00". Primary end uses include: Jet Engine Tailpipes, Afterburner Components, Turbine Blades, Nozzle Vanes, Cabin Heaters, Aircraft Parts and Gas Turbine Engine Components.

Alloy 625 is a corrosion and oxidation resistant, nickel-based alloy. Non-magnetic and has excellent strength and toughness at high temperatures. It is stocked in AMS 5666, ASME SB446, ASTM B446, GE S1000, GE S400 and PWA300BJ. Current sizes available are from .625" up to 1.50". Primary end uses for this alloy include: Jet Engine Exhaust Systems, Engine Thrust-Reverser Systems, Saltwater Applications and Chemical Process Equipment.

Alloy 718 is a precipitation hardenable nickel-chromium alloy. It has good weldability, corrosion resistance and high strength when heat treated. It is stocked in AMS 5662, AMS 5663 (capable of), ASTM B637, PWA300, GE B50T69 and GE B50TF15. Sizes available are from .500" up to 2.00". End uses include: Jet Engines, Cryogenic Components, Gas Turbines, Nuclear Fuel Element Spacers and Thrust Reversers.
