Wallingford YMCA Awards Ulbrich 2022 Community Partner of the Year

We're proud to share that Ulbrich has been named Community Partner of the Year by the Wallingford Family YMCA!

On March 24th, our CEO Chris Ulbrich, Vice President Jonathan Ulbrich, and Director of Human Resources Tom Curtin were honored to accept the award at the Wallingford Family YMCA’s Membership & Community Breakfast. Nominees are made by board members, staff, and volunteers. The winners are determined by a vote by the 7,500 members of the YMCA.

“We’re excited to share our stories and share the key individuals who were a part of this and continue to be a part of this work,” said YMCA Executive Director Sean Doherty.

“Because even though we strive to expand and enhance our facilities, it’s the people that are involved in the organization — the staff and the volunteers — that make the magic happen.”

Ulbrich is a fourth-generation, family-owned company that aims to make the world a better place by supporting local organizations that have a positive impact on youth in the community, including the Wallingford YMCA. We believe we have a philanthropic responsibility to support programs involving childhood development, arts and music, and assistance for those in need, while encouraging employee involvement at all our facilities.

Whether it be playing soccer, swimming with friends, or just spending time with their group, they will be sure to have a summer to remember. Additionally, Ulbrich sponsored the construction of a new playscape at the YMCA in 2021 that is sure to bring joy to the community for many years!

Congratulations to all nominees, winners and community partners who were recognized during the Wallingford Family YMCA’s annual ceremony!
