Ulbrich surcharges are updated on a monthly basis and are initiated by the companies that originally melt the alloys. The surcharge for each alloy will fluctuate from month to month based on price changes in certain key elements. Nickel, Chromium and Molybdenum are typical surcharge influencers for the more common grades of Stainless Steel.
